Core Values
Vision
To live a life fully devoted to the glory of God.
The vision for each member of a church within Radius Greenville is to give every aspect of our being over to the glory of God. This is the reality of who we were made to be as image bearers and worshippers of God; and this is the only fitting response to who God truly is. In the final days of Paul’s life, he had this to say: “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:6-7). Like Paul, our deepest desire is to give our lives joyfully and fully to the glory that belongs only to God.
Mission
To unite as family in the Spirit-filled pursuit of knowing God, walking with God, and partnering with God to advance His Kingdom to the ends of the earth.
Values
Value #1. We are Gospel Centered Disciples
The Gospel fundamentally and continually changes everything about us. We value understanding and placing faith in the integrity of the holistic Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We desire to stand daily upon the life, love, authority and power of knowing God. We strive to remain in close, affectionate intimacy with Jesus as he remains in us (John 15:4). Only in Jesus can we bear fruit. Knowing God is the essence of eternal life. As disciples, our greatest discipline and highest joy is that of continually seeking to know God in all of life. [John 15 / Romans 1:16 / Acts 17:22-28 / John 17:3]
Value #2: We are True Worshippers
Worship is a response to God’s incredible love for us demonstrated in the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Abiding in God in all of life creates a response of worshipping God with all of our life by loving Him with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength and loving neighbor as we are loved. The Spirit, given to us at salvation, longs to fill us and produce fruit in/through us. In response to the grace of God demonstrated in Jesus, we choose to yield control to the Holy Spirit so that we may live holy lives. We want our lives to reflect just how much we treasure God. [John 4:24, 1 John 4:19, Mark 12:28-31, 1 John 2:6]
Value #3: We are Spirit-Filled Missionaries
As the Spirit indwells us, so does the mission of Christ: to go and make disciples of all nations. Just as all of life is worship, all of life is simultaneously mission. As we learn to yield to the authority and power of the Holy Spirit within us, we find ourselves partnering with God and eternally influencing those around us as we guide the lost, give to the poor, mend the broken, and free the oppressed. [Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:16-20, Ephesians 5:18]
Value #4: We are Devoted Family
We believe that Jesus’ desire for his followers is to live life together as a collective bride, a diverse body, a powerful temple of the Holy Spirit. We strive to live in deep, authentic community as followers of Christ. We see the church simply as a relational family deeply devoted to Christ and one another. [John 17:20-23, Matthew 12:28-50, “One Another Statements” of NT]
Value #5: We are Persevering Sojourners
We understand heaven to be an already-and-not-yet reality. As we journey in the space between, we expect suffering and we embrace it with joy. We respond in faith according to however God may choose to remedy the pain here and now. We respond in hope; looking towards a sure day when suffering will be no more. We respond in love; knowing that within suffering we find great intimacy with Jesus. As we sojourn through the difficulty of this age, we find great peace in doing so together as the church. [Deuteronomy 8, 1 Peter 5:10, Romans 8:17, 1 Peter 4:13, Philippians 2)
